P30, Wide Angle and Tilt/Shift Restrictions?

I'm looking for a new digital back to use with a Linhof M679 large format camera, chiefly for architectural work. The P30 seems ideal, but Phase One's publicity states that wide angles or large format tilts and swings may cause colour casts. This warning isn't given for the P45.

Before I talk to the dealer I'd like to be better informed, does anyone know why the P30 gets a health warning but the P45 doesn't?

The P30 uses microlenses, the P45 does not.

The P30 is definately not the back to use for use with lens movemements.

Go with the P25 or P45.

Incidentally, does this have any implications for Canon's T&S lenses?

Interestingly, no.

I've used my 24 T/S on various Canon DSLRs without problem.

Same for me, occasional moderate colour fringing out in the corners on the 24mm, but no problems at all with the 45mm or 90mm. Despite often using full shift on the 24mm and 45mm (architectural) and full tilt on the 90mm (table top/product shots/ "semi-macro").

I wonder if Phase One are taking a responsible, cautious position; or if all micro-lenses are not born equally?

I believe that the P30 has no low-pass (AA) filter, while the Canon DSLR's do have one. This might lead to intensification of color problems when shift is used, in the same way that absence of AA filters leads to more color moiré?

Also remember the C1 Sw can correct for lens color cast and for WB at once. Just take neutral image  (do full screen need the correction across all sensor. Maybe use translucent cap) I have not tried but maybe corrects vignetting also? Michael do you know?
This is quite convenient.
