Hasselblad digital conversion

I have a Hasselblad 500CM with 50 & 150mm lenses that I've used for nearly 30 years. Since I've gotten involved with digital I'm using it less and less as I don't like the delays in scanning film. What options do I realistically have as an amateur? Are there digital untethered backs under $10K that can be attached without major modifications or would I best be looking at trading in for an H1 or H2? l like doing portrait and landscape photography.

Ken, the latest Digital DSLR's (at least the higher MPLX ones) cameras, produce prints damn near indistinguishable from medium format. In some ways better.

Everyone else had dumped their medium format equipment for this very reason. May be time to retire the grand old lady.

Kenneth, Hasselblad have just launched a new back for the traditional V system. Works untethered (and, remarkably, without the need for a sync connecting cable) on any 500 (and most 200) series cameras. It's not a state of the art back (16MP square) but is promised to cost under 10K USD. At that price I think it represents good value for money. The only drawback is that it has an effective crop factor of 1.5x which will hit hard those who like a wide view of things.
