Paper mix and match

Hello,
I currently use a dye ink printer (HP 7950) which is one of the first HPs to use grey ink. Quality is excellent, especially on HP's very expensive Premium Plus Photo paper. The matt paper has a very close texture and feel to the Ilford multigrade pearl that I used in darkroom days.

However I have heard rave reviews of Crane's Museo Silver Rag paper, as well as other products from Crane. It is quite obvious that these papers are aimed at Epson users (pigment inks). It is not quite obvious whether Crane's papers are also compatible with HP's Photo printers with dye inks. Although I like the Premium plus paper from HP they have the annoying habit of printing HP all over the back. For some home-produced photobook projects I have in mind that is not acceptable, and I am toying with the idea of using 3rd party papers such as Crane's.

DOES ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE USING CRANE PAPER ON HP PHOTO PRINTERS?

ANY IDEA HOW THE IMAGE PERMANENCE IS AFFECTED?

HAS ANYONE USED PREMIUM PLUS PAPER IN AN EPSON PHOTO PRINTER? WHAT RESULTS?
