Kodak Proback ?

hello

hi, I'm considering getting a kodak pro back, any view or reviews about this back ?
and most importantly, would anyone be so kind as to email me the RAW file
or a high quality JPEG ? I would like to see the quality of this back for myself.
my email server can take quite huge files, so no prob. with getting them.

I used the proback on a Contax for about a year.  It really did a pretty good job.
I enlarged  images up to 24x30 with absolutely superb results.
I upgraded to the Phase one because of the increase in resolution.

I can't give you any technical advice, but personally I think it certainly will.

My friend uses the 1dsMKII  and compares it to my mf images.  The koday proback still had much less noise and better resolution than the SLR's

Also the sensor size is also part difference.  the larger sensor size seems to give much better resolution than the smaller ones.

It would be very hard (even though I use Canon digital also) to give up my mf
imaging system and go exclusively to the 35mm

While my hindsight is 20/20 I can not begin to guess what the future holds for mf digital imaging, and of course the various brands that might not be around in the future?

My friend went from Hasselblad equipment to the Canon digital.  He is quite satisfied.  The biggest argument is that he can get equivelant image quality he was used to with the Hassy and only have one system to worry about.

From personal experience I find that my 645M can still exceed the quality of the Nikon D2X. Colour, dynamic range and ultimate resolution have the edge over the Nikon system although it's awfully close. I can't vouch for the Canons but consensus seems to be that the 1DsII & Kodak back are pretty much similar in overall quality (I asked this same question a while back).

If you shoot much above ISO 100 the noise levels in the shadows become more noticable than the current crop of DSLRs.

here is full and a crop . Can still make nice images, and blow up to 100MB files too.
