Photo Black on matte surface

Hi, I have the 4800 and love it. I am printing only on Enhanced Matte and Ultrasmooth Fine Art now, so I have been using just the Matte Black ink, in part because I can't afford to jump back and forth. I have seen several posts of people using Photo Black on matte surfaces for both color and black and white. I would be interested in people's impressions of how much you lose by trying to use the PK on a matte paper in color or B & W.

I tired PK on enhanced matte with the 4800 and compared it to the output from my 2200 with MK.  The 2200 was so much better that I decided to keep it for matte work and use the 4800 for gloss.  The PK on matte produces muddy blacks.

I was afraid of that, but the K3 colors on Matte paper on the 4800 are so superior to the 2200, I could not give that up to use the 2200, s
