mamiya and 24mm

hi,

I'm using a pro back on a mamiya AFD, the widest is 35mm
I wonder if it is possible to use the 24mm fish eye and use ptlens to
correct for the distortion. Is it workable ?

would it still be a 24mm ? or it would have to be cropped after
correction ?

I've used the 24mm with success and corrected the distortion with Image Align.  I'm not sure what the effective focal length would be but it's wider than the 35mm.  As far as I know it's the widest lens you can use with a Phase One back.

I use the 30mm Zeiss Distagon on a Haaselblad with Kodak Pro Back (with a 1.5 multiplier it acts likea 45mm on the Pro Back Format) - Image Align software has been able to coreect the semi-fisheye as-shot image into  a reasonable rectilinear image  - Although there may be alternate ways of doing this correct, I find Image Align very easy to use.

I used the 24mm Mamiya fisheye and yes you could used PTLen to correct the image and you will loose a little but it is much wider then the 35mm lens.

If you want, pm me and I do have images that is before and after PTLen using the 24mm fisheye.
