texture difference between different weight?

edit: figured it out. that's kind of crock. who wants two different finishes per side?
i received samples of crane museo II paper. i printed the same image, one on each weight. the heavier weight paper has more texture, and it is very apparent when shining a diffuse lightsource on it. the weights are 250 and 365.
is this typical? do papers that are heavier have more texture to them even though they are supposed to be the same?
by the way, i really like the crane paper. up until now i've used only epson velvet fine art. i've got some more samples on order - photo rag for example.
