Amazing work, Santa.  Tough enough stitching/shooting problem, let alone getting there and standing out there in the cold.

I would think that auroras move too fast to get a good-matching series of frames for stitching (though I've only seen one once, through an airplane window, so I'm no expert).  How do you do it?  Do they stay stationary long enough???

the cloud cover/city lights are reflected on the left side. I pshopped some similar out of the right side. A variation on a theme.  15 sec f2.8 ISO 400 (maybe 800).  Six vertical shots stitched by hand in photoshop. Canon MKII with 16-35 at 24mm.  The clouds were a curse but they helped bring the temps from -40 up to a balmy 0F so that was a nice respite from the cold.

That photo is drop dead gorgeous! I love all of the aurora images, but that one seems to top them all.
