I was flipping between work and the review so maybe I missed something but was there anything on ink consumption?

Nice review.  Kind of confirms what I've been hearing.  No great output breakthroughs but the printer itself is very well designed.

Production version printers have only been shipping for a couple of weeks so it's too early to tell. But if previous HP parsimony with ink is to be repeated it will have very low ink usage.

I hear it is supposed to be good but no one really knows what that means yet.  Be nice to have individual ink tanks again.

Is this to be the "poor man's" 13"x19" photo printer for the next year? Or will Epson respond? The initial price and expected running costs for performance seems to have raised (or is it lowered) the bar. At least we've returned to a buyers market.

Eventually the canon 9500 will arrive.  Not sure what the price will be.  But 3 players in the market is a good thing.  They can want to keep margins high but they'll screw each other over until the consumer wins.  Heh heh heh!

Couldn't agree more. Here in Canada, ink prices and to some extent paper prices seem fixed. If only the federal government would look into it ......Wouldn't it be nice to see a price war
