This looks new ot me. I hope to have a look at it tomorrow.

It looks to have a 36x48 sensor, but shoots very fast, maybe it has large pixels ! I wonder what the 800 ISO is like -

It has 9um pixels.
Maybe it's the old Aptus 22 rebadged with a double readout ?

this news came out last week...

...it is the aptus s-line, the 54s is the same chip as the old aptus 22, but shoots faster and up to 800, then there is the 65s and 75s....

The 800 ASA is an error. I think that if you download the data sheet you can see the 54S is still only a 400ASA back. ie: Same sensor as A22.

Look at the table on page 2 of the press release.

my mistake...400 only..i was already thinking about the 65/75 when i wrote...actually spoke with leaf today...it is the same sensor, just faster technology around it...so are the other backs...

Just back from Photokina - yes it is the A22, they just call it 54S, it provides 0.8sec per picture and endless shooting (until card is full) with this picture rate.
