APTUS75 ASSIST

I have an Aptus 75 for a weekend testing and need a bit of feedback on a noise issue.

First off,it goes without saying that the files under normal exposure times are
outstanding but when I go beyond 10 seconds the resulting images are full of white and black
'specks' with a few red and blue mixed in for good measure.
They're only visible at 100% but are very prevalent.

I've had some experience with aptus22 and Valeo22 and really only saw this amount of
noise when I exceeded 30 seconds and was wondering if this has come up with others.

I don't have access to v10 until later tonight and,so far,images have been opened
in Camera Raw.

Any chance this noise issue will be remedied by openbing the files in v10 or are
other issues at work?

Camera Raw is the issue, When you open the files in V10 you will see clean files.

Raw developer also works, and has a hot pixel removal as well.

Unfortunately,now that I've had the chance to run the problem files through
LeafCapture v10 and Raw Developer.

The black and white speckly 'pepper' grain seems to have been diminished but
red pixels are evident everywhere.

I've attached a reference crop for anyone interested

What ISO did you shoot? I shoot dusk shots 10 - 15 sec with Aptus 75 with no problems tethered to v10

Raw Developer has a hot pixel removal option in their software, but it must be turned on.  It work wonders even set to low...

I have read on the Leaf private forum that the new LC10.1 (which is supposed to go Beta for Leaf Owners soon) will have improved noise reduction for long exposures.  I do not know if that includes hot pixel removal.

I was shooting with the back set to 50 iso

Eric,unfortunately the hot pixel setting in Raw Developer didn't really help.

The hot pixels that are shown in my example really 'pop' when a reasonably conservative
amount of USM  (125, .4, 0) is applied.

So can I infer that for long exposures in the 15-20 second range you guys aren't seeing the
problem that I was seeing.

I was also trying a technique that Yair suggested a few months back to get an Aptus to
perform a new black frame exposure for each long exposure.
In between each long I would do a short 1/60 exposure to insure that each following
long exposure would create a fresh dark frame exposure
