Wow! Cool weather photos. Thanks for sharing them. My spouse flies small planes, and I kept thinking while looking at them, "That's REALLY not something one ever wants to see from a small plane..."

Aerial Hurricane Photography 101, to be held in the Bermuda Triangle, schedule dependent on the weather. Bring your own barf bags and life insurance...

Those are terrific photos that capture the amazing cloud structures of severe and tornadic thunderstorms. They are much better than the National Weather Service use in classes to train weather watchers. I really liked your commentary too. Great job--it makes me want to become a storm chaser.
Unfortunately no photo can really capture the gigantic scale of these cells and a sense of the tremendous energy being released. As a retired corporate pilot, I can tell you we gave these babies a lot of room. It was always impressive to be at 39,000 or 41,000 and still only be "shoulder high" to these monsters.
