shooting @ 12,000 ft elevation

Do I adjust the camera ( canon xti ) for 11,000 degrees kelvin or leave it on auto and fix it in CS3 RAW

I shoot at 12,000 feet, and sometimes even a bit higher than 13,000 feet, the same way I shoot at sealevel.  don't have to make any adjustments...just leave on auto WB all the time (or sometimes I use Daylight WB). Eleanor

If you shoot RAW, the camera WB setting is irrelevant. The RAW is tagged with the camera WB setting, but you are completely free to ignore or alter it if you like.

I'd leave it on Auto White Balance then adjust the color to my taste during Raw conversion if the image is either too blue or too yellow.

There was once I shoot during autumn somewhere in China. And the AWB screwed all my photos. Only one was edible from RAW. I guess it's because of the weather, when blue skies comes in and yellow and red leaves aren't just noticeable.
