I would like to hear opinions from people more experienced than me regarding this picture.

Does the composition work for you? Do the rocks in the foreground help or kill the image? I darkened them a bit to separate from the midground, but now I'm not sure it was a good idea...

I don't know if I have more experience  than you, but, for me, the picture is the rocks. Their shapes, textures and color are the points of interest. I would crop away about 2/3 or 3/4 of the distant forest at the top of the picture just leaving enough to create a sense of space between the forest and the closeby rocks.

I see what you mean, however this also changes the meaning of the whole image for me, partially removing a sense of "falling down" I wanted to show...
