Thanks, Marshal.
Actually, it's a photo of the town of Tropic, Utah, but you can't see the city lights in the small version in the article. The sunrise effect was assisted by one of the big fires in the Dixie National Forest and the smoke that settled into the valleys during the windless night.
Thing is, the deck at Bryce Point was crowded that morning (many Japanese tourists, all dedicated photographers, a couple aspiring amateurs, and one guy with a very impressive Hassy system), but I was the only one shooting the pre-dawn. Everyone else was set up facing the Bryce amphetheater, waiting for the sun to light it up.
I use that shot as my website banner. (The website is down right now, as they turned off my building's power for a couple days. I don't know why.)

Just wanted to say that all your Bryce Canyon pics are good, but the one that stood out the most to me was actually the gorgeous sunrise pic called "Dawn". It looked really unique as far as sunrise photos go and was a perfect addition to the portfolio of Bryce. Good work.

Bruce,
Yes, they are nice images, but I'd like to register a gentle complaint here about the image sizes. They are far too small without Michael's usual option to "click for a larger version".
