I ordered [24] of these Folios from Neil and they were exactly as advertised with prompt delivery. Recommended. Be advised that the window cut out is of panoramic orientation i.e. wide. Perhaps we could coax Neil to offer a conventional sized window cut out. best...skip

These are a bit different by really inexpensive. Don't have a window opening but hold up to 12 prints.

Personally I like the look of Neile's and wonder if he has anything larger, 11x14 or 16x20?
I need 50 or so for a new project. I also want to have them embossed with my name/logo so may have to go to a local die cutting house.

Thanks! I don't have larger right now, but 11x14" is the next size we'll do. For embossing check out the second FAQ on the subject at http://www.danecreekfolios.com/faqs/, there's an inexpensive way to do it using an embossing stamp.

Why not do 11x17, to match the usual digital print size, rather than 11x14, which forces everybody to trim?

Becuase, so far, all the requests are for 11x14.

I to have ordered from Neil, and will second the recommendation. They are very good. The only thing I wish to change is that they are scored to for a fixed depth (number of images that will fit inside), I would have liked to make the final scores to decide the depth myself, but this is i minor thing, as they are they fit the typical number of images I'm likely to put inside.

That the window cut out is of panoramic orientation is good for me, but I would also have loved to have a Folio for portrait orientation.

I ordered some Carnival Hopsack (Mohawk Paper) Persian Blue 90 # Cover 26 x 40 from www.glodan.com. Great experience. I ordered 20 sheets at a good price to start my own folio stuff based on Brooks' instructional DVD. The paper is not quite 100-120# but heavy enough for a 13 page folio of Exhibition Fiber prints.
I made a design for a folio cover and went to a local sign shop. I used some of their scrap 1/4" acrylic and they made the folio forms for me in portrait and landscape models for about $130.
I also found a creasing/folding machine like Brooks shows at the end of the DVD on eBay for $180 and not $600 as he mentions.
I just finished my first test run and am really excited about the prospect of adding folios as part of my fine art print products. A number of people I show it to loved the small size and "cluster" of themed prints. They really like the tactile nature of the project.

The forms you had made, I assume they are in the shape of the folio and you use them to cut out the folio from the paper by tracing them with a blade. How did the sign shop make the forms from your design?

Sorry John, I wasn't paying attention. I took the design into the sign shop as an Illustrator file (.ai). They also could accept it as a pdf file, but the Illustrator files were easier for them to make the few tweaks they needed to cut the acrylic. I had some rounded corners they needed to fix to their laser cutter. Cutting the construction paper from the outline of the form was a cinch once I had the acrylic form as was cutting out the window. I'll attach a pdf of the form I gave them.

Jim Becia, Mount Horeb, Wi, takes orders, and is periodically doing something similar to these on a non-profit basis for those who are intrested.
