If you really like ethereal voices, you should visit my old college chapel (King's College, Cambridge) for an ordinary (non-special) evensong. The trick is to get a member of the college to find you a gown and take you into the closed off part of the chapel where the choir sings.  If necessary bribe a student or don with a decent bottle of wine, it will be worth your time and expense.

Some of these are multi-shot stitches.

I recently made the artwork for the "Worlds Largest Advent Calendar" (as far as Guinness is concerned) at the new Eurostar London, St Pancras Terminal.
The illustration of a London and Paris cityscape was done by an illustrator named Heather James on A3 bits of paper (eg. the Eiffel tower on 1 piece of paper, the London Eye on another piece etc.) This I then scanned in, hand traced and detail added in Adobe Illustrator.
1st pic is taken the 1st of December when the advent calendar started, and the other pic was taken on the 10th Jan, the day before it was pulled down.
A very annoying place to take a photo... can't get high enough and there are always wires and crap in the way.

Pictures taken on my Hasselblad 503cw, Leaf Aptus 22, 50mm and 80mm lens. Processed in LRoom

Just Photoshop. I never heard of Helicon but found the site, for $300.00 US, I would be interested to  hear if it is worthwhile. Best focus for any lens seems to be F/11 and 16, that means I could be doing this more often. Focus does not seem to be an issue with my architectural work at 11's and 16's, but landscapes are another challenge altogether.

Well this is a really interesting topic and so much more informative than arguing endlessly over bit depths and noisy pixels. For me I think I prefer the Leaf  files out of the digital backs. But, I'm sorry overall I prefer David's film image !!!

What film/camera/scanner did you use David?

not sure it has a lot to do with the film because I processed a LOT in PS. subtle NR, subtle sharpening several time, Layers, duplicate background, soft light, saturation, you name it... and a lot of back and forth to get there... so it's not too much film anymore... I guess I was inspired that day... and I guess it would have been easier with a digital file... but I don't know I keep looking at my bag and I don't find any DB  

The scan I don't know I should ask the lab.

The camera is mam645, 35mm, I use a film as neutral as possible to have more room for post-process, exposed to it's nominal value not to increase the contrast, 160NC portra. Flash. The image was pretty flat actually but really clean. And I figured out it's, to me at least, the only way to process as I want a scanned film. In only film time I did expose the 160 at 100 or even 80 and the 400 at 320 but then I can't get too much from a scanned file.

ps : and it certainly help to have a web size image...
