I'm back with another picture I can't seem to make up my mind on. Please have a look and tell me what you think - I originally combined 3 pictures to make an HDR, but this one image looks almost the same as the HDR all by itself. I'm wondering if the sky looks too fake(blue too bold), or if the foreground needs brightened. I'm realizing the dark foreground is a reaccuring theme for me :-) Any c&c welcome!

I like the sky. I have seen many like it, especially in the northern climbs (I'm in Florida).
The shot is probably best as silhouette but that reddish tree keeps calling out, from the dim foreground, to my eye, "look at me".

Yeah, as a sillouette it would probably draw the attention right to the moon, which is the point of interest. I like the red tree though! Maybe it's too random there at the bottom...

Gosh, that shot makes me miss the 'rolling hills' around Champaign where I used to live before I got wise and moved to Oz..
I like it ..

Wow, what a move! I've always wanted to visit Australia someday- isn't the weather like exact opposite of what it is in the US? At least that's what I've heard. So, any editing advice for my pic, mate? :-)

[a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=176744\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a] There's some nice elements of your picture, the clouds, the vivid orange tree in the treeline and the foreground three, but IMO the shot as a whole doesn't take enough advantage of those elements. Howevery own landscape stuff is crap so you shouldn't take advise from me.. |

Forgive the crop - I made one slight change, to bring up and sharpen the lower image detail. Working with the small original size didn't allow a lot of improvement, though.

IMHO, the sky color is to unreal so it tends to distract me. Perhaps it is , my laptop's screen which has not been calibrated for a while.
