Greetings...My printer has been working fine...all my cartridges are nearly full including the Yellow one it now keeps asking me to replace by throwing open the door...I tried shaking up the ink and replacing it..it suddenly does not want it....I am stuck and have no backup as the yellow is just about full...I have already gotten many prints without problems from it...I know it is almost full ...confirmed by its usage and the weight of it...
'Can anyone offer advise please..
Otherwise I will call Epson tomorrow...but I need to use it tonight

Call Epson--there is a definite fix for this.

The problem is in some cartridges there is just a bit of air in the pressurized cartridge that is causing your error. I had exactly the same problem with cartridges from two different sources.

They'll probably replace your cartridges for you asap.

The "homemade" fix for this involves getting a little tube, inserting it onto the valve and blowing into it gently to pressurized the bladder, and bleeding the cartridge. Not a solution for the first-timer and not one I recommend unless you've seen it done before. Instead, get Epson to send you replacements.

How did Epson resolve the problem..Was it just a Bad chiped cart?

If you're asking me, Epson sent a tech who brought a full set of cartridges and figured out the "bit of air in the cartridge" and came up with field solution to bleed the cartridge on the fly. It worked on all my previously "bad" cartridges.

Before the tech arrived, they suspected it might be a bad chip or dirty contact.
