When I log in as another account and select: print settings > color matching..the color sync and Epson color control "buttons" are not active.

I have no definitve answer but the messages with
com.WD.WDDriveServices seem to say that you have a problem with Western Digital software.
Most of these issues revolve around DVD support but you might want to try to remove it to see if it helps.
I googled and found a ton of problems linked to WD Button Manager software.
Here's what I suggest:
1. Disable WD software
2. Repair disc permission
3. Test and report
