Sure, a B&W version would make a great image, but these colors are also very interesting although the barn is either too dark or too big and that makes a big black zone which is a little distracting IMO.

Agreed. I made the barn dark on purpose initially, but I really feel the unbalance now. Here is an alternative version, bracketed and combined, from a different angle:

I wish I had bracketed the first shot, because there's just too much noise in the shadows to make the barn look good. I like the way the branches protrude through the smoke in the original. I suppose some free transformation gymnastics could combine the best elements of each.
