As regards a UK supplier of Rollei lenses, the name you'll usually hear is: Robert WhiteOtherwise, I second the eBay thing. I've just picked up a used (Mint-) 110mm/f2 for £1000 - a snip given that the 'new' price in the UK is around £3900. Apparently, only 500 of the f2 were ever made (can anyone confirm?), but that aside, I'm happy to have gotten hold of one - beautiful bokeh! From what I've been told, Zeiss no longer make glass for Rollei/Hy6 in its varying guises, so any of the Zeiss lenses out there are "as long as stock lasts". Again, I'm happy to be corrected on this! Best wishes all,

Off topic, but is 'guano' any part of your name? That's quite a choice for an anonymous handle. [a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=222055\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a] It was a nickname I picked up a while back and it stuck. Yes, I know what 'guano' is, but it didn't have anything to do with that wonderful natural fertiliser...

Thanks for the responses.
There does seem to be a bit more on Ebay now.
Best,

Does one have the option of using a Leaf or Sinar back on the Rolleiflex Hy6 camera? if so this would be a great advantage to the photographer and if not [a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=222211\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a] I have been using my Rollei Hy6 with the eMotion 54lv for some time. The Sinar firmware updater works with the Rolleiflex. Yevgeny

Yes, of course, David: this has been communicated since the beginning, that any brand (Rolleiflex Hy6, Afi, Sinar Hy6) will accept the digital backs supported by the Hy6 from either Leaf or Sinar. Best regards, Thierry I have been using my Rollei Hy6 with the eMotion 54lv for some time. The Sinar firmware updater works with the Rolleiflex. "as long as stock lasts" means as long as Sinar has still in their stock. I can't say if those lenses are discontinued, but Sinar will not longer carry and sell them. Best regards, Thierry About lenses for Hy6, what does it means : "as long as stock lasts" Are these lenses no longer manufactured ? Is Zeiss 110mm could be soon replaced by a new AFD model ? All those Rolleiflex lenses (and accessories) are sold by the Rolleiflex distributors as well, worldwide. I expect this to continue that way. I have no information of lenses being discontinued, except for the 120 Macro and which will be replaced by the new 120 Macro. Best regards, Thierry [a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=222568\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a] Thanks Thierry, About a week ago I was almost convinced tha the Phase camera was the way to go. Now it looks like it will be a Sinar (depending on how Leaf price thir new backs). Two questions: - ISO 200-800: Is that correct? Not good for landscapes. (or the ISO 800 is totally clean) - Are these prices recommended including taxes? Or will each country add their taxes on these prices? Thanks

Hi Theirry,
Am I to assume that the eSprit 65LV back sold separately is the same back as the Hy6 s65r without the ratating adaptor? Also will the shooting speed and onboard processing speeds be the same for the back used with cameras other than the Hy6?
Thanks!
Karen

Dear Karen, Yes, that is right: the Sinarback eSprit 65 is the same back as the one in the Sinar Hy6 s65r camera system, w/o revolving adapter. All features of this back will be exactly the same (on-board processing, speed, etc ...), regardless of the camera platform used. Best regards, Thierry Hi Theirry,
