I shot quite a few medium format systems, but the longest history and mileage goes to Contax 645 and Phase backs, and lenses (includes come Hasselblad CF/FE lenses thru MAM-1), and Alpa 12. [a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=226480\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a] you get my vote on the coolest looking collection of gear!

When i was choosing camera I went with Mamiya instead, but only because the Contax was discontinued. It's a shame really, a Contax 645 Mk2 would have been amazing to see.

We just need it to be reintroduced, supported. I hope by the time Zeiss finally got their contract with Kyocera ended, there will be some magic to resurrect the camera?

Snook, love that lens-shade. Is it mamiya-branded or third-party?
I'm wondering if I could get one of those for 35mm....

I'm wondering if I could get one of those for 35mm.... Mamiya...:+} it is beautiful.. Got it new in Box from a guy on ebay that I have bought half my Mamiya stuff from.. He has great prices. he is great. I think his name is amuhya ..? If your really interested I'll try and find his ebay account name. he is one of the biggest mamiya sellers on ebay. what 35mm? you mean 35mm camera or lens? I have the same one for my AFDII but it is a lttle smaller *bellowsHood. both bought from him new in box. on a 35mm lens your going to have very little room with out getting vignetting I would imagine. Nope, I meant 35mm DSLR, not a 35mm MF lens. I'm used to bellowshoods on 4x5inch, I've seen 'em in use on quite al ot of MF gear, but never for DSLRs. Hence the reason I asked, plus your bellows has this handy collapsing mechanism. It's just a more honest design, compared to these stupid plastic shades that fit canon/nikon lenses.... Does your Leaf Contare have Verto?
David Yes indeed it does, what I would really love is a 22mp Cantare, I know the AptusII 10 is close, but for some things multi shot still shafts more pixels every time. I have asked, and no it is never going to happen. Cheers, Jason.

Believe it or not, I didn't set this up but sitting at the computer looking at the set it seemed appropriate for this thread. I can't include the shot I was on until next month but it was a sheetmetal detail. Jim [attachment=8823:Workhorse.jpg]

/Samuel I decided today to switch out my mount from 645 to V on my P45+. I love the size and the feel of the 503 with phase back. It doesn't feel awkward and lumpy like the AFD III. Thanks for the photos, they inspired me to go see my dealer and play with the Hasselblad setup. I also played with the new Phase Camera and lenses. I have to say the glass on the new tilt shift Phase (Hartblei) Looks much nicer than it was on my real Hartblei 45mm. The rest of the lens is pretty much the same. I can't wait for the Hassy.

If you don't have one Go get your self a Pigtail either Firewire 400 or 800. It will save your port if anybody happens to trip over it. I notice in this image you have a mountain clamp.. is that what that is for? Some kind of safety thing? A friend of mine suggested it and I am sure glad I got one. I use a Fire wire 800 cable to Mac and then use a 5 inch long Pigtail connector and if it get's yamked it comes out from the pigtail and not the back of the camera.. Just so those that do not know about that...:+} Snook PS. you can see it kind of in my post of my camera above... the short firewire cable!!
