Hi All,

Looking for comments on this Photo, and how it could be improved to better capture the feel of the location.

Sandy Cape, Fraser Island, QLD, Aust.  
Canon 5D, IS100, 16mm (cropped), f11 @ 1/25, Tripod.

It looks beautifully framed and lit to me.  I would love to see it printed large, to appreciate the sand & driftwood grain and the wave and cloud detail.

I think it's well done; my only real criticism is that the way the shore is framed with the edge fading away on the left and much more on the right is augmented by the driftwood also on the right of the frame.  This lends it an appearance of being off-balance, as if the image were too 'heavy' on the right side.  Other people are welcome to see it differently!

I agree. I'd crop a bit off the left-hand side.

I think it is an interesting composition, but the excess of yellow bothers me when viewing the image. I assume that was intentional, so YMMV.

I like the mood, and the yellow sand doesn't bother me - I think it complements the green of the water.  I probably would have framed the scene a litttle to the right, to get the log a bit farther away from the corner.  But setting pickiness aside, I think it's a very nice shot!
