This is maybe slightly off-topic however I think it worth mentioning that I purchased an item through this forum a week ago from the States and it arrived yesterday in the UK exactly as described and with first class communication and service from the seller. It is a real testament to this community in my opinion and I'd just like to say thanks! Craig

Thanks for sharing that!  People seem always ready to complain, but reticent to compliment!!  Why is that, anyway...?

My thoughts exactly. Whenever I buy something through an online reseller and find that they do their job well, I send them an e-mail to say that I'm pleased with their service. That really makes their day sometimes - you suddenly notice that there are real people working there!

I had a couple of very successful purchase from this forum too. I find it more 'solid' than e-bay for purchasers where I'm constantly highly suspicious of some items, especially when a poor English and demanding email arrives following a question! Although I have had some very good experiences there too!

I have had very good luck as well.  I always try to state every nick or scratch and I rate my stuff hard when I sell it.  I am glad this is a professional forum for professionals!!!!  Lets keep up the good work!

on the other side i've sold one or two things here and the attitude and response of the purchasers' has been without exception a joy.

I managed to get a 24-70L from the states to South Africa through LL. It's nice to deal with trusting people, especially as there is almost no 2nd hand market here.

Sold two items, bought two items, about to sell a third.  My experience so far has been exceptional.  I far, far prefer to dealing here than to dealing with eBay.
