[font color=\'#000000\']My LC1 mini-review and DxO analysis will be published next week. With a fast card RAW files take about 6 seconds to save. Not as good as a Minolta A2 which can do 3 frames in under three seconds, but not as slow as the Sony F828 which can be as long as 20 seconds a frame. I find it to be just this side of tolerable.

[font color=\'#000000\']I noticed one of the photos in the Understanding Raw article was taken with the Panasonic LC1.  I assume a review is forthcoming?

I've read it is pretty slow when using RAW files though.  In general, is that kind of processing something that can be improved with a firmware update?[/font]

[font color=\'#000000\']To address the upgrade question, the speed of raw file saves is largely dependant on the buffer size so a significant increase would require a hardware upgrade. I believe firmware upgrades usually address bug fixes and usually not significant increases in performance.[/font]
