I'd like to announce a small exhibition of some of my favorite landscape works captured during travels to Utah, Colorado and Vermont. [Some photographs are captured with the ZD camera, others stitched from 35mm DSLR captures.] The exhibit will take place in a cozy coffee shop, Connecticut Muffin. It will open on Saturday, December 13th at their location on Cortelyou Road in Brooklyn; parts of it will later travel to their other locations.  The opening of the exhibit is 4-6 PM. Best regards, I'd love to see the exhibition and I would absolutely love to see one of your 'body sculpture' exhibitions but unfortunately unless by 'other locations' you are including Northern Ireland I am afraid I won't be able to make it. So besides being a master of nude photography you're not too shabby at landscape photography.
I wish I could join you but I'm in Yucatan.
I know you will get a nice visitors book..

Michael,
Finally got to see your show, you would think living in brooklyn, would have made it easy, too much holiday and work.
Your images were quite impressive, especially the three from Vermont. While I love landscapes, I am just not a panorama type guy, but loved the focus of the vermont ones as well as the depth of those landscapes. It seems to me that I have to ‘scan or pan’ the panaorama images and this doesn’t work for me. Intellectually, I can understand why many photographers want to do them and like them, just not my cup of tea. All your prints seemed to be very high quality images, nice and rich.
The down side, I wished that I could have seen them better. Quite a few of the panoramas seemed to fall in areas of low light, making them hard to see clearly, many were to high and the chairs and tables, not to mention the people eating or drinking at them, were often a problem. I am not critising you for your choice of venue, a show is a show and they are hard to come by. After all what good is taking beautiful images if you can’t share them. I was so looking forward to seeing some real mfdb landscapes printed large, on a one to one basis. I did want to get up close a see how well detail rendered and just couldn’t do it, except for the Vermont photo with the red benches, in the corner. The image that is on your announcement was so high and had a lady sitting right under it, radiating a keep away from me vibe, that I was only able to see it from a distance and not really understand the depth of the image. It such a beautiful image, it is kind of a shame to have that happen.
All in all, I was very pleased to see your show. Thanks for your effort and hard work. I am a studio still-life photographer, shooting landscapes for my personal work, on a Nikon D300, and not being 100% happy with the image quality. At work, I have used a Betterlight 6KII scanning back, a PhaseOne H25 and am now using a Leaf Valeo 17wi, so I know how good the quality of mfdb is.

The Vermont images you mentioned were 1-image shots with Mamiya ZD camera. all other images were stitched to resolution upto 170 megapixels from either ZD or Fuji S3. Here is an approximate layout of the exhibit, entrance is from the right side.  |
