very interesting shot... was there a particular reason why you didn't shot the panorama wider? I think it would have had benefitted the comp to have a bit more on the left and right... also, did you do a b/w-sepia treatment on it, or is this the remnants of the sodium lights.... and my last question, since I was also contemplating abusing the roof of a car: did you jack up the car to prevent wobbling or did you just climbed up and shot it?
Definitely jacked up. I couldn't afford the wobble, especially since I spent half of my time swatting tiger mosquitoes. Actually, the original shot was quite a bit wider, but power lines interfered with much of the rest of the finished picture. Pity, since the part of the plant to the right of where I cropped is pretty cool. The color isn't sepia per se, although it sort of looks like it (notice the red light on the column to the right). I just played around with HSL sliders, WB, camera profiles, and I forget what else in ACR.
