[font color=\'#000000\']I haven't seen anything about Joshua Tree National Park here, and no, I'm not a Joshua Tree Chamber of Commerce booster.
The park (about 150 miles East of LA) is a great shooting area any time of the year, though a bit hot in the summer and you can often have snow in the winter. That adds a special charm for photos, and a good wildflower year is fantastic in Spring. As usual for desert areas, general shooting is best early and late in the day, but the amazing rock formations makes for fun exploring and potentially great shots any time of the day, even on hazy overcast days. I've spent hundreds of hours on these visual "treasure hunts" and am looking forward to putting my new (not yet complete) 1ds outfit through its paces in JT National Park (bicycling distance away from my house).
