batch processing failing and freezing on only one file

Hi, I am well aware of speed and freezing issues with Capture NX2 it is the worst thing about an otherwise brilliant software application. However I am finding that if I try to copy and paste settings from even 1 file to another file within the browser, it is sometimes failing. I get as far as the box showing progress, just before the little OK box pops up that tells you the process is completed. suddenly it says 'failed' then the small box pops up and takes forever to say 'OK' or sometimes it freezes without getting as far as OK. In the latter scenario I have tried waiting to no avail and have had to close everything down and lose the file!!!!.

Any ideas?
