I was ready with my credit card to buy this lens:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1166...0mm_f_5_6L.html
but unfortunately it is discontinued. Luckily there are some used items but the shipping cost is $1,685.00 which is too much for me
Oh my, $120,000 for a lens... I don't think I could justify it with my wife. Not to mention I don't have that money.

The Asian version shipped with a pack of 3 Yaks, a Nepali certified shepard and free oil change through the first 2000 miles.
Cheers,

I've actually used the 1200 (and its earlier FD version which had a built in 1.4x convertor)! Canon Oz has one that I've been able to borrow on occasion. You need a BIG tripod!!
But really, why mess about with such a wide angle lens when you can bolt on something with some real reach - such as the third of these?
