Adobe Bridge CS4 + .CR2 = Tiny Preview

A friend is running a year old Mac Pro with only 1 gig or RAM. Can anyone confirm that the reason the previews will not show any larger than a 35mm film frame is due to low RAM? If not, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I doubt a 'mere' 1G of RAM is the issue. My girlfriend is using a 4yr old P4 laptop with just 1G of RAM and does not have the problem you describe.
Are you using embedded preview mode and the embedded previews are actually quite small?
