Folks,

I have developed a new photomapping function on my webpage which might interest landscape photographers. I am using it to map a selection of my photographs of Wales, Scotland and a larger number from Ireland.

I have utilised the Google Maps API in conjunction with the Panoramio API.

The beauty of this system is that when I add new images to my Panoramio account, they automatically appear on my website Google photomap.

The Panoramio API allows up to 100 placemarks to be requested at a time.

Check it out here

Let me know what you think of it.

I also geotagged a bunch of my photos, but due to it being manual and laborious, I haven't done so anymore. Also, I found the Panoramio size too restrictive, and wanted to host the photos on my site. But since there is an API, I guess I should take a look at how it works in case it's more usable than almost two years ago when I last used it. Thanks for the tip!
