lense dilemma sharpness

slrgear.com provides graphs for sharpness.

Sigma 70mm F2.8 is exceptionally sharp. I use it on D700.

Michael, I noticed you shoot with a D3 for your landscapes, some of them 124 mega pixels. My question to you is, would you use a DX camera to print your landscapes?  Your images are stunning.....bravo

Thanks Jeremy and Bernard. I will reshoot something at f8 and in the 120mm range, tripod and release ( as always) Unfortunately my camera can not shoot with ML. It is only a means to clean the sensor. My question to Bernard is: how large would you feel comfortable printing your lovely pano at?

This one was shot handheld, but is still pretty sharp. A width of 1 meter should still deliver very good perceived sharpness on this 50+ megapixel image.
