Predictions...
I'm willing to wager that, in under 5 years, there will be a piece of combocam equipment highlighted on this site that has an I/O port for synchronized timestamping and RAW footage streaming.
I'm also willing to wager that RAW footage will be streamed to control where a device sits with a module that's specific to the type of camera and its RAW data type.
I'm also willing to wager that a prism/triple-sensor setup will find its way into some high-end build that takes a video camera and makes it capable of great stills.
And finally, I'm willing to wager that one day a major, nationally televised event will be shot with under $100K of video equipment at the entertainment venue.
I think these combocams will usher in new commoditization to the video segment... for sure.
