That IS disappointing to learn. What about a firewire to bluetooth transmitter? I recently read an old article that made reference to the use of these for firewire equipped video cameras, but I have not been able to actually confirm that they exist.
http://www.surfview.com/seedt006.htmThere is no advantage in converting Firewire to bluetooth, as the bluetooth interface will be a bottleneck. I think it is limited to 1Mbit/s currently. However, it matters not. The iPhone screen resolution is so limited that there is no point in transmitting a full 60MP image to the phone in order to display it on the small screen. Only the portions you want to see on the screen (if the image is viewed in 100%) or a small scaled down version of the full image need to be transmitted to the phone. For that purpose, Wifi, USB, 3G or perhaps even Bluetooth is fully sufficient.
