For Sale: Canon 1Ds Mark III (body only) for $3,800. Comes with all original packaging, CDs, manuals, mostly unused cables (save charger cable). I am the sole owner of this amazing camera and purchased it new in May of 2008. It has ~7800 actuations on the shutter. Really nothing in the life of this camera. It has only been lightly used, never abused, and only used by my on photographic trips and at special events. On a month long sojourn in August, I only had to change the battery once after three weeks. Where my 5D Mark II begins to fade driving long autofocus IS lenses, this body keeps on ticking. For landscape work I have been hiking more with my lighter 5D Mark II, so I am selling this fine camera. I posted four new images of the camera on Craigslist. Extra also available Really Right Stuff L-bracket (~185 new), Camera body and RRS bracket $3950.00 I will not sell the bracket individually until the camera body is sold. http://austin.craigslist.org/pho/1451090158.htmlI would like to deal with someone locally in Austin, and I am located just north of the University of Texas main campus. I would consider a Canon 24-70mm in similar pristine condition as part of a sale. I will be firm on the price until I change it so please don't haggle with me as soon as I post this. I will lower the price until it sells. I can provide more images as requested. Please contact Rusty at 512-782-9900 or via email. Cash or equivalent (checks will have to clear first). Paypal is fine if you pay the fees. No I will not ship it to your friend/brother/cousin overseas, don't bother asking.

There is no such thing as a canon 35mm 1.4 II I am the original owner. New May 2008 from B&H Photo. All original packaging and parts. Really Right Stuff L-bracket, 2nd battery. I have 2910 images in Lightroom, so I probably shot twice this much with the camera. Frankly I just don't use all of it's capabilities, and often use my 5DMkII. I am asking $5300 including the 2nd battery and L-bracket (body only). All of the above I purchased new from B&H. I am also selling my Canon 35mm f/1.4 L Series II lens too. I have the new 24mm f/1.4 and use it a lot more. I am asking $1100 for the lens & a BW 72mm UV filter. (will alter price if you don't want the filter). Comes with original box material. I am the 2nd owner of this lens, but it was also purchased from a careful, local Austin owner, and is in perfect condition. Both of these items are in superb shape and have never been used heavily or abused. I'll provide photos to any interested buyer. I'll post both of these on Craigslist in the next day or two, but since I am one of Michael's veteran travelers, I am putting it here first. Contact Rusty at image@terra360.com or 512-560-7711 (cell). I am in Austin, Texas. I will ship for my cost of UPS/insurance, and will accept payment via Paypal (asking price net to me of fees). If you ever wanted a low mileage great camera, this is it. Same for the lens. The only thing I would consider taking in trade (in part) for is a Canon 50mm f/1.2L lens. Cheers, Rusty

To the person at 857-366-4407 who called on Nov 8th at 4:34pm CST, I tried multiple times to call you back after we were disconnected. I hope your move went well from Austin, TX to Boston, MA. Hopefully by now you have found you have at least ONE FRIEND in Austin who can look at the camera to give you the comfort level that it IS what I say it IS. I am sorry you were so disappointed that I would not send it COD to you. You seemed so shocked after I said no, and I feel badly about that. Then you put me on hold for a few minutes while you were talking to your friend (just heard part of that call) and we were disconnected. So if you are still interested, send me that contract you said you were going to send, and don't forget the cash. Good luck with that store on Newberry St. Try the restaurant BOUCHEE, you'll love it. Have a nice day (or evening, inasmuch it is noon here now). ciao.

Rusty,
As a reference, last night a 1DsMkIII with zero activations and 1 year warranty, dealer demo unit, sold on ebay for $4050. Not good news for sellers.

Jack Thanks Jack, So Thanksgiving special... still less than 7900 clicks.... $3800 body only. I am keeping the extra battery, possibly the RRS-L Bracket (will sell with camera for $3950) and the grip strap for another body. Rusty

Sweet price for a sweet camera man! That's right what I paid for mine, and I hunted quite a bit to find a good deal. I'm sure you'll have no problem selling. If for some reason you can't find a buyer here, go pay $25 and sign up for an account at the Fred Miranda B&S forum. You could probably find a buyer faster and for a couple hundred more $.
Good luck with the sale!
