Hi ,

I will be short.Upon starting CS5 this morning none of the plug ins was showing up on the UI. I the plug ins folder and all the plugins seem to be there. I called Adobe tech support and the person who was suppose to help messed things up even more by telling me to trash the Preferences folder .Every software I have on the computer is now dead.I tried to reinstate the Preferences folder and it is not working. Can you try and help me figure out ?

That's good news. Care to elaborate on what worked, in case some of the rest of us run into the same situation?

went back in  time and Restored the Preferences file though for some reason it took several tries . It seems to have worked at least to my knowledge. I was extremely mad at the tech support though, trashing the Preferences folder as I later learned it is NOT the way to go in fact it is a BIG mistake.
