I am selling my Aptus 75S as I have upgraded to a H4D50. It has 12600 exposures on the clock. It is excellent, except for a small pinhead sized blemish on the CCD protective cover, which is visible in the photos. It has a number of batteries, a screen shade and spare stylus. I am asking $UD6,000 plus shipping from Australia. I have higher res versions of these photos and others at this link http://members.iinet.net.au/~imagery/Aptus75s I have also included a sample photo to show the effect of the blemish. What mount is this back?
Do you have any idea what would be the cost of repairing (replacing) the CCD cover?

It is an H mount.
I have not had a price on getting the blemish removed. I think it would cost more in Australia than elsewhere because of our location and I prefer to do a bit of retouching than be without the back for whatever period of time it would be away for. I also found that when using a gain file any blemishes or dust spots get mapped out in the process. It is really just like a bit of dust, which you generally encounter anyway.

Your asking is $6000 US dollars? I am trying to imagine what the cost of mount conversion (I need a V mount) and CCD cover replacement would be... I am definitely interested. If youīre in a hurry search LL for "Aptus scratched", it was discussed before, a quote from Yaya, a few weeks ago:
"An IR filter replacement for Aptus 22/ 33MP, if done in the factory, is 999 EUR or 470 EUR if you buy it as a DIY kit. (prices ex. VAT)

I donīt know about mount change, might be a lot more.

So the CCD protective glass is also the IR filter? 999EUR sounds a bit steep to swap out a piece of glass. |

Hi Jonathan,
as far as I understood the glass is the IR filter and is priced 470EUR, replacement and recalibration in factory is 999EUR including the filter. I donīt think it is really cheap but compared to the repair costs of other back manufacturers it seems not too bad.
