[WTT] My 503CW for your 203FE

I know this is probably a long shot, but I'm in need of a focal plane shutter Hassie that can let me use my CF/CFE lenses as well. Since I can't afford to have two bodies, I'd like to swap my 503CW (Excellent condition) for a 203FE. I'm not 100% what the exchange "rate" should be, though I hope it's close to 1:1. Let me know if you might be interested.

Good luck! Looking at KEH pricing the ratio is closer to 1:2, the 203fe being twice as costly as the equivalent 503cw. You might look for a 201f body. It allows the use of CF and F, FE lenses. Just no meter. Much closer to 1:1 !!

Hey, thanks for the info! Hadn't thought about using KEH to compare prices. You're right, it is closer to 1:2  I just knew that 203FE's gone for around $1600 on Ebay recently, so that's what I was basing it on.
Thanks for info on 201F... that'll definitely be another body to consider. I guess the max shutter speed is also different? I.e., 1/2000 vs. 1/1000 ?
That shouldn't be too big of a problem. It can also trip the leaf shutter in my CF/E/i lenses, e.g., for high-speed shutter sync? That's really what I'm worried about. A meter I can do without (though it'd be nice to have).
Thanks again!

The top shutter speed pn the 201F is 1/1000. Plenty fast. Heck, you could even go with and older 2000 series to cover your bases. I bought a nice 2000FC for $300 a little while ago. The later 2000 and 2003 FCW are the ones to look for. They work great. Good luck!

Hey, you're right! I just looked into a 2000FCW, and it really has everything I'd want... 1/2000s, selection between FP shutter and lens shutter... and they go for pretty cheap. I'd probably be able to afford it as a second body, instead of replacing my 503CW :-D
Thanks guys!
