Foul weather - rain, low cloud, 60mph winds, cold temperatures, snow storm on the tops. Light generally flat & uninspiring. But, a certain atmosphere as a result. Let me know what you think.

I think in Storr 5 the land seems most alive.  Bruce

I would agree, number 5 is the most interesting of the group.

It's well composed, with long sweeping curves rolling up from left to right. These draw the eye into the fog, and then the eye circles back down to camera left and starts over again. Nice energy.

I like your use of foreground rocks to add depth, and inclusion of the "three pillars" camera left adds an air of fantasy, almost "Lord of the Rings" to the image.

Good depth of field, probably needs to have a bit of vignette burned in. You also might consider burning in the three pillars just a bit, they fade in the fog and they are such an irresistible anchor for that side....

Thanks for posting those. I just finished reading A Book of Silence by Sara Maitland, about her quest for silence in a variety of different settings: http://www.amazon.com/Book-Silence-Sara-Maitland/dp/1582436134/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1290300203&sr=1-1 (I am a silence fanatic myself)

One of the places she visited was Skye, where she spent a few months. I would encourage you to read it, but would be interested if you would post  your observations of the place in any case.

BTW, I like the first photo the best.
