Lens Correction in Capture 6.0 Pro

I've been enjoying the trial version of Capture 6.0 and am very impressed with many aspect of it.

In assessing it as a workflow improver it certainly has potential in all but one area - Nikon Lens correction. I know that one can create pin cushion / barrel correction -  but was wondering if there are any ready made solutions / plugins  for this.

There is no way to use distortion correction (or any) plugins in Capture One.

As far as I can tell the distortion correction for Mamiya/Phase One lenses seems to work very well (i.e. it obviously provides correction of complex distortions).
For third party lenses (i.e. all other than Mamiya/P1) there is just a generic distortion correction that only provides linear correction ... which, of course, doesn't help a lot if you have to deal with moustache distortion.

So you would have to use a plugin for Photoshop...

I have found a methodology using PTLens.  In the Process tab select PTLens.exe as the external programme to open file with,  If you have Pro version make sure that camera metadata is selected in the advanced TAB of process section (if like me you have express version you have to remember all the lens data as the express version strips all the metadata when you export).  Process the file as a 16bit TIFF and it will open in PTLens, make sure the correct lens data is set in PTLens and lens correction will be applied - you can do all the keystone correction in PTLens as well if you have the express version of Capture One 6.  If you have set the destination file to be the same as your RAW file when you click on process in PTLens the corrected TIFF will pop up in your Capture One browser.
You can use a similar technique to open a file and edit in SilverEfex Pro (the Lightroom plug in is in fact a stand alone .exe)
