1DMarkII:Good 3rd Party Replacement Batteries

My elderly 1DMkII has gone through 2 generations of expensive batteries in its 6 years. The camera is still very serviceable, and I would like to buy 3rd party batteries because of price. My previous experience, years ago, was not great. However, always the optimist (sucker?) I'd like to think that some 3rd party batteries:
1) Are going to fit, and have:
2) As high or higher capacity (number of shots per charge),
3) As good a build,
4) Same probable life expectancy,
5) and most important, as safe to use.
The one I had problems with in the past (although with other cameras) was Lenmare. How are the current Lenmare and Delkin replacements for the NP E-3? Does anybody have recent experience with them or other 3rd party replacements?
