z3100ps Color Utility via Parallels

Recently decided to try Qimage ultimate and I can see the possible improvements in workflow over Photoshop Printing directly in Mac (Snow Leopard). Qimage runs fine in Parallels virtual Win XP and the 3100 drivers install fine. However, even though the installed network 3100 printer is seen in the HP Utility and even reports ink levels etc. No paper preset or color management functions are possible. Simply get "not connected -----" when attempted. I have tried numerous methods and all the drivers in Windows XP with no success for the color utility - even the recommended Bonjour connection.
Does anyone have a model of how to make this work, which network connection (bridge etc), which driver (Bonjour ---) for Parallels and win XP? J Vee
