I don't normally do a posting of a second attempt at tweaking someone else's image, but I have found the feed back to both Chris's and my versions very interesting, so I thought I'd experiment to see how the advice given changed the image.  I hope I have implemented the suggestions adequately.

Chris, I hope you don't mind my doing this and I definitely don't want to hijack your thread, but I think we are all learning a bit from it.

I have long thought over this file after the critique, which was all right.
Basically I followed Ken's approach, but modified it to my taste.
The print looks good so far and the subject and the others who saw it were amazed.
So - for completeness and to end the story - here is the new, reprocessed version.
