Well, as of today, there are now 33 videos available in the C2PS tutorial giving around six hours of viewing.

There are around 20 more videos to go! Some of them are quite long at 30+ minutes

I guess that means I will still be working on Jeff & Michael's Magnum Opus in early 2012... Roll Eyes

La Comédie Profane perhaps?

Hi Chris ,

many thanks for the videos, but as I count correctly, there are 32 and not 33.

I guess that means I will still be working on Jeff & Michael's Magnum Opus in early 2012... Roll Eyes

La Comédie Profane perhaps?

Does that really meanthat there will be no more new videos in 2011 ?

That would lacerate my heart !

The 'forgotten' video 8A on Lens Align is the 'missing' one.

There will be a lot more C2PS video in 2011 - but there is enough yet to be edited, that I may not get to finish it all in 2011 as previously stated.

Oh, I think I'm getting old ! Thanks for the hint - you're absolutely right. I forgot to count 8a.

Great - this gives us hope for the rest of 2011  Grin

Many thanks to Chris, Michael and Jeff for taking the time to share their experience and wisdom with us and all the work that goes into producing these tutorials.

Chris, I hope they let you out the cage to enjoy some of the festive activities during December.

I have enjoyed watching the videos and looking forward to the rest. Picking up new ideas and techniques. Also enjoy the little pokes that they take at each. In this corner Mr. Conservative and
in this corner The Pixel Mangler.

Thanks, Andrew

I don't know Michael's politics, but merely because he does not wear wild garb does not mean he is conservative. After all, Barak Obama wears conservative suits. I would see this duo more in the image of the urbane Canadian (ala Peter Jennings) versus the Chicago brawler (you can fill in the blanks). An interesting combo.

I have found the tutorial interesting and helpful. It would be nice to have the project completed, but there is no big rush, since we need time to digest what has already been released.

Regards,

Bill

Chris,

Once it's completed, I think you should take a day off. Well, maybe an afternoon. Or at least an extended lunch hour before you start on the next project, the upcoming Video Journals, etc., etc.   Wink

On the other end, taking a day off is like loosing momentum. Chris could easily use that energy to edit Video Journals up to issue #30!

This is turning out to be a beautiful set.  Schewe looks and talks like a true rishi (which is the Sanskrit word for sage).

I agree.  But, I would like to know who to send the bill to for my time wasted trying to correct the way my monitor was displaying colors...I was sure that I had big problems because Jeff's shirt was completely lacking in color....it was BLACK!!!!!  And then, I realized the truth....LOL

One minor quibble with video 45 on papers.  The blanket statement is made and echoed that you should not print on OBA containing papers if they are going to be framed behind glass or acrylic as you will lose the benefit of the OBA.  This is not universally true as there are different grades of acrylic and framing glass that do transmit UV near the visible region which is the necessary wavelength to cause the OBA to fluoresce.  There are both treated acrylic and glass that block 98% of all UV light where the presence of an OBA is not going to have any effect but such materials usually cost much more than the non-treated variety.  We had some rather lengthy discussions of this topic over the last several years on the LuLa forums.  As I noted just a quibble and again, kudos to Michael, Jeff, and Chris for putting together a wonderful set of videos.

Chris,
I have the new videos downloaded on my Mac Pro with no issues. This morning I spent 3 hours down loading the files to my iMac and none of them have any video only audio with a blank white screen.
What did I do wrong? Quick time player is installed.
Thanks

It sounds as if the video card may not be up to the task of playing HD video. Try reducing the size of the playback window.

Make sure the latest version of QuickTime is installed. You could try VLC Player.

Also, if you have downloaded multiple files simultaneously, this kind of corruption may occur.

BTW - a lot easier to simply copy the files rather than re-downloading the whole shebang!

This and other possible problems are addressed on our FAQ

The store server is currently bogged down with multiple file downloads - today being the last day of a Sale.

My guess is that the file is being corrupted in a very slow download

Our apologies. My suggestion is to wait 24 hours.

Let us know if you still have the problem tomorrow

Just wanted to drop a short "thank you" to the whole team for CP&S. Not often you get such training, wisdom and humour in one package Smiley

Still having problems downloading.  The files either download as very small html files or give an error reading that no such file exists.
