Just watched an article about Sefton Samuel's this evening on BBC - The Culture Show. Not heard of him before, some interesting photojournalism images, from a historical perspective. Images of notoriety, footballer, George Best, painter, LS Lowry and many other well known faces.
http://www.seftonphoto.co.uk/Sefton/Home.htmlGreat access; also demonstrates the huge qualitative advances that cameras such as the D700 allow us today. I kind of wonder how anyone fails to get great technical shots in such circumstances anymore. Maybe they don't.
Having writen that, it's also plain to see that unless access is restored to today's shooters, the same old views are going to crop up, time after time, with only the faces changing. Odd that an industry that depends so much on contact and fans can be so restrictive of allowing ease of shooting to its professionals.
