The tranquility of Lough Corrib, Ireland.

The photo itself may not wow you but the scene inspired this week's blog -

Yes. This is "Yellow Box 400 ISO". I think you can guess what a known trade name would be Smiley

Here is a quickly colorized version. I am in a room with bad light, and have a bad monitor, but the name of this color profile would be "Yellow Box Red Text Obsolete 25 ISO Reversal" Smiley

I hope you like the "skin tone" Smiley

Too much post on that skin  Grin

I much prefer the "yellow box 400" It's all in the eyes, the colour kills them, for me.

( I hope you're going to take him a print)

I would agree - I made up the color version just for posting.
And yes - I did bring him a BW print immediately.

Edmund, like this casual portrait. Haven't seen much of your photography work here.
Should show more.

I shall make an effort to post an image every week. This is the first time I've used a big camera for about 2 months, my iPad and iPhone are seeing a lot of use Smiley

BTW, I looked at your site, your food photography looks cheerful but your urban images are very wistful ...

one question - how do you manage to attach a file not at thumbnail size, but just the original size?  Roll Eyes

You don't "attach" it. You put a link to it in your post, using an [img] tag, I think. You can can use the leftmost of the second row of icons in the composition page.

FWIW, I don't like the habit. It makes pages slow to load and (at least in Safari), if you're at the bottom of the page, the text jumps about a lot as the images above load. If you attach a thumbnail, I can decide whether or not I want to load the large image. The first time, I probably will; later on, particularly in threads such as this one, I probably won't.

I tried a panorama of the Bavarian alps yesterday, the weather was suitable. The original would print about 3 meters wide. 6 images with the H3D-50.
