Camera ICC Profile: How to !?

I posted this call for help in photo.net, before realizing that this would be most likely the more appropriate place:
For a new 5D MrkII I need an ICC profile for use with Capture One Pro v6.2. A few months back, I managed to profile a different 5D2 successfully with ProfileMaker (standard settings; so for "Repro" there is nothing to be particularly familiar with) and an reflective glossy IT8 chart. Only this time, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The result is not slightly off, its absolutely not usable, totally posterized:
- Same IT8 chart (tried also simple CC24) shot under necessary circumstances (black studio, no reflections, even illumination).
- in capture one:
No color corrections "Color View" profile.
Linear film curve.
Everything zeroed.
Output with "Embedded Camera Profile".
16bit Tiff at 100% Scale.
- In profile maker:
open correct target reference.
using "Reproduction"
Please note that
- I have used different software including BasICColor etc. but the result is the same ('cause there isn't really much you have to do).
- DCP, the Colorchecker Passport, is NOT an option
- tweaking an existing profile within Capture One's Color Editor is a daily process but not up to this task.
Many thanks in advance

Ooops again! I just found the mistake. A user error, sorry. I had curves applied for each separate RGB channels. As per default the interface shows the RGB mix, which didn't have any curve applied, I was not aware of it. BTW all profiles came out beautiful (and very portable if you shoot the target as described above).
