This is my first real go at this type of shot. I know it is not for everyone but I think these type of shots would look great in super modern houses. What do you think??

It's almost monochrome as it is, and I agree with Slobodan, it would be improved by making it a true monochrome image.

Cheers for looking guys.
I had the same thought as both of you and tried the monochrome conversion but I like the subtle golden glow on the rocks as I think it ads another dimension.
Here is a black and white version.

Unusually for me (I generally prefer b&w), I agree with you. The colour version has an appeal which the other lacks. Jeremy |

Very nice shot. I prefer the color one. I think the slight amount of color adds a bit to the depth of the image. But, the B&W is also very nice. Have you thought of somewhere in between the two versions?
In any case, I would be proud to have either hanging on my wall.

Agreed - the golden glow adds another dimension. If I only ever saw the B&W, though, I would not in the least be disappointed! |

Put me in the colour crowd. I like the B&W and it stands well on its own, but I prefer the subtleties of the gold/ yellows.

I was like most of you and thought it would work really well in b/w but it surprised me to as I liked the colour better also.

Hi all
I have to say, I'm with Slobodan and Bill in the BW camp. Both are really nice but I love the B&W one. The image has been broken down into just 2 groups. The rocks slowly fading to white and the water silky and semi transparent from a very long shutter speed (and your work on the levels). The conversion to Black and white has stripped the image down further to a minimum and I think it works really well.
Either really work though. Well done Mat
